Adventurous hike from beach to beach

Jean Claude, Andreas and I walked from my land (close to Nerja, South Spain) from beach to beach 3 days until Salobreña, then 2 days landinside to the beautiful Cueva del Capitán. Capitán is a captian. Maybe once a captian was sleeping here? What I know is, already 6000 years ago people were sleeping here many times.

We slept 2 nights in the cave and made a daytrip to the mountains. On the last day we went back to Salobreña and by bus to Nerja. We all enjoyed the Walkabout, it was an interesting experience in the cave.

Saturday:
To avoid the national road, we walk through a bit wilderness.

Andreas, Jean Claude and I

We get to beautiful rock formations. I am sitting in it.

A beautiful sleeping place, but I worked a lot for it.

Sunday:
You might imagine, in this landscape it's some effort to walk from beach to beach...

... but it's beautiful!

Sometimes we get wet feet...

... and sometimes it's easy.
Break at Playa Cañuelo, I eat yacon from our garden.

Video from our sleeping place behind La Herradura on a hill

My place is a bit lower.

Monday:
Butia, sweet wild palm fruits, collected in Almuñecar, originally from Brasil.

Here you can hear our beautiful voices. Only I am too shy 😊

Sleeping place close to Salobreña. Jean Claude and Andreas have built up their tarps, because of the dew.

Tuesday:
While my companions dry clothes, I visit the cave "Cueva Barranco Iñate". I like caves.

After some searching, we find the Cueva del Capitán.

It's big inside.

There are 2 rooms. In the second room, there are stalagmites. That means, once the cave was wet.

Between the two rooms, there's a tunnel. I sleep in it, so that I don't hear much snoring 😏 It's pretty warm.

Wednesday:
We leave our sleeping stuff in the cave and walk to the mountains. Andreas and I will climb the mountain in the background.

There's a good long walking path going up...

...and up, here a serpentine.

The path is leading along the ridge, keeping it's altitude level.

It's not suitable for people with fear of heights, but for people with love for nice views.

I walk all the way barefoot. Andreas has "barefoot-shoes".

Barefoot on sticks and stones!

It's a long trip today. We do breaks only for eating.

On the way we found sun-dried olives and oranges. We ate the olives at the tree and brought the oranges up to here.

"Coto privado de caza" - private hunting ground

Looks like Andreas would like to fly.

Finally we walk down and get to a small road.

A green house has thrown many tomatoes

We are back at the cave and meet Jean Claude again.

The cave inside again. Close to the entrance you can recognise Andreas. In front you see his sleeping place.

Thursday:
Walking along the Rio Guadalfeo, Lobres in view

In Salobreña. Good bye!

P.S. In the evening after we came back, a big fire destroyed the area of Torre de Maro, where we passed in the first day.  The cause was a private fire that got out of hand.
